Illustrator, Artist and Calligrapher
I have always been fascinated by pen and paint strokes, and grew up in a house where letter writing was a real ritual. I would watch my Mum writing cards, enthralled by the way her fountain pen created such beautiful shapes on the page.
My Grandfather bought me a calligraphy set and before long I was being asked to create cards of my own, spending all my pocket money on pens, brushes and ink!
But, it was an internship at Stewart Parvin (Couturier to our late Queen) and later at Ravensbourne University, where I fell in love with illustration. I would illustrate all the fashion shows and send my drawings onto the designers, which eventually led to a role with prestigious designer, Emilia Wickstead.
My three years with Emilia taught me so much about the world of luxury, and how a product should look and feel; it’s those experiences that guide my work today.
A ‘Millustration’ is entirely bespoke. A captured moment in time, handcrafted using traditional methods, hand mixed watercolours, and high quality dipping inks. Every brief is different but each one reflects an experience, or the essence of a brand, through timeless illustration — it is, in my opinion; the ultimate luxury.
I work alongside an amazing collection of clients, both brands and individuals, and feel so lucky to be inspired by their experiences and the opportunity to bring them to life on the page.
